For those of you who were waiting for the Pixelbook sequel, you’re getting it – sort of. You’re getting powerful internals, smaller bezels on the display, and hopefully new Chrome OS features.
According to the folks over at 9to5Google, the new Pixelbook will be a little different than the last one. It is said to be called the Pixelbook Go and will be a straight-up laptop and lose the 2-in-1 convertible aspect. We’re expecting a 16:9 aspect ratio instead of the 3:2 one we’re used to.
Rumored specs have it as a 13.3inch touchscreen w/ an option for a 4K resolution display, newer Intel chips (from Core m3 to the new Core i7), up to 16GB of RAM, up to 256GB of storage, a dual mic setup, Google’s Titan C security chip, 2 USB-C ports, more powerful speakers, and a lighter magnesium body. Outside of that, we’re expecting a Black and a Not Pink color option.
This is a device I’m looking forward to along w/ the Pixel 4. So we’re expecting to see this and a few more devices at Google’s Pixel 4 event in October 15th.
