There were rumors of this service arriving a few weeks back and now it has been made official. Google Play is going the subscription route like pretty much everyone else. Say hello to the Google Play Pass: their new app & game subscription service.
The new service grants you all of the apps and games you and your phone can handle. All w/o any ads, paywalls or dealing w/ in-app purchases. Google plans on adding new apps and games on a monthly basis. It will also be apart of your Google Play Family Library to share w/ up to 5 other family members but everything will still be separate to each individual account.
Play Pass will cost you $5 per month giving you access to over 350 titles. But Google is doing a launch promo that will give you everything but for $2 per month for the 1st 12 months. All you have to do is sign up before October 10th.
With most of the Android apps & games being free, this might not be easy to sell. Is this a new service that you’d be willing to sign up for?
