Google’s Pixelbook. This was their most recent vision of what their high-end Chromebook should look and operate like. Last year’s Pixel Slate was supposed to be their answer to the iPad Pro but was poorly received.
So they’re back to refreshing what did work. Say hello to the new Google Pixelbook Go: not a 2-in-1 laptop but just a laptop. So we’re looking at a smaller 13mm thin + under 2lb build, a 13.3inch 1080p display w/ the option to upgrade to a 4K resolution display and multiple configurations of processor/RAM/storage choices ranging from Intel m3 to i7, 8GB or 16GB of RAM, 64GB to 256GB storage options.
Outside of that, we’re looking at 2 onboard mics, a 2MP webcam capable of 1080p video, 2 USB-C ports, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and up to 12-hour battery life w/ fast charging that give you 2 hours of juice in a 20 minutes charge.
The new Pixelbook Go will start at $649 and go up from there and arrive in Just Black and Not Pink color options. Pre-orders kick off now.
Is this the take on the Pixelbook you’ve been waiting for?
