Yesterday, LG beefing up the 8K TV fire by dropping not one but a total of 8 new TVs touting Real 8K.  When I say Real 8K, I mean 7680 x 4320 resolution kind of 8K.  This will arrive in the form of 2 OLEDs and 6 LCDs.

With the OLED models, we will have 2 sizes of the LG Signature OLED in a 77inch and a 88inch sizes.  While the LCDs, you got the NanoCell TVs ranging from 65inch to 75inch sizes.  These TVs will support 8K content in many ways like 8K @60fps streaming via HDMI as well as HEVC, V9, & AV1 codecs.

All of the newer 8KTVs offer LG’s new 3rd-gen Alpha 9 AI CPU, AI Sound Pro processing, running LG’s ThinQ AI + webOS support for voice control, AirPlay2, HomeKit, Google Assistant, & Alexa.

No word on when they will drop and how much they will cost.  I would guess they would start somewhere around under $2,500.  But I’m not much of a gambler though.
