While we’re less than a month away from Samsung’s S20 Unpacked event, the leaks just keep coming. We got some info confirmed more or less thanks to Max Winebach over at XDA Developers who is in touch w/ someone who got their hands on one.
- For starters, its confirmed that the S20 won’t have a headphone jack so R.I.P. to it on all flagship Samsung devices now and moving forward. However, it will ship w/ a pair of AKG USB-C earbuds like Samsung did w/ the Note 10.
- The new 120Hz refresh rate will be limited to only the default FHD+ resolution and not the full QHD resolution. You’ll have to go back to the standard 60Hz refresh rate to utilize the S20’s QHD resolution which will give you better battery life in the process.
Outside of that we got confirmed specs for the Galaxy S20+ as well like:
- a 6.9inch display w/ 3200 x 1400 resolution + 20:9 aspect ratio
- Snapdragon 865/Exynos 990 CPU
- 12GB of RAM/128GB of UFS 3.0 faster storage
- 4500 mAh batter w/ quick charging
It will have the ultrasonic in-display fingeprint reader on board. No confirmation as of yet if its the faster + larger Qualcomm fingerprint reader or not.
Samsung Unpacked is happening on February 11th so we’ll have the many Galaxy S20 variants as well as their new Galaxy Z Flip clamshell to look forward to.
Any of these new details making you more excited to pick up the S20?
