Earlier today, Samsung announced their newest & now-faster T-line of portable SSDs at CES.  Meet the new T7 & T7 Touch SSD – both offering double the speed of the T5 in the same small and lightweight package weighing at only 58g.

The obvious new change on the T7 Touch is what looks like a button on it but its actually a fingerprint reader for additional security on it.  Both versions of the T7 will get you read speeds of up to 1,050MB per second and write speeds of up to 1,000MB per second.  Also new is their Motion LED to better show when it is reading or writing data.

Outside of that, you still got AES 256-bit hardware encryption, up to 10Gbps via USB 3.2, and will work on Mac, Windows, Android, iOS, etc. – all within a aluminum casing.  The T7 Touch will arrive in Black & Silver color options and 500GB ($130), 1TB ($230), and 2TB ($400) storage options.

The T7 Touch will be available later this month while the T7 is set to arrive sometime during the 2nd quarter of this year.  Man, this makes my T3 look slow as hell.  Anyone else updating their SSD to this one?
