We figured that this might be coming but looks like we got evidence that it is. Leaker Max Weinbach got a hands-on and some spec details on the Galaxy Home Mini. In case you forgot, the Galaxy Home Mini is the smaller version of the Galaxy Home Bixby-powered smart speaker that never seen the light of day.
The Galaxy Home Mini is said to launch on February 12th – the day after Samsung’s Unpacked event. The Home Mini will be able to play music via Spotify, get weather, set alarms, get news, get SmartThings notifications, and more – all via Bixby. However, it will be able to be paired w/ another Home Mini for stereo sound. It will offer IR blaster w/ support for up to 40ft, no 3.5mm jack, powered via micro USB instead of USB-C, and only support 2.4GHz Wi-Fi & no 5GHz for some reason.
Unpacked is happening tomorrow so we have less than 24 hours of a wait to see all that Samsung has been working on.
