Earlier this morning, Apple updated their iPad Pros but they weren’t done.  We also got a new take on the MacBook Air & Mac Mini as well.  Let’s start w/ what’s new w/ the MacBook Airs.

So you got a new Magic Keyboard comprised of a new scissor-switch & ditches the problematic butterfly mechanism.  Similar to that on the 16inch MacBook Pro.  On the inside you get better performance w/ an Intel chip up to a quad-core 1.2GHz Core i7 processor and Intel Iris Plus GPU.  You also get double the storage now starting at 256GB SSD and goes all the way up to 2TB.

In regards to the Mac Mini, there isn’t much new here.  Apple did mange to double the storage size.  The new base model comes w/ 256GB of storage and the 2nd configuation no offers 512GB of storage.  Outside of that, you still have the 4 Thunderbolt USB-C ports, 2 USB 3.0 ports, an HDMI 2.0 port, headphone & Ethernet jacks. Since most people use these are media servers or regular servers, the larger storage sizes will be welcomed.

The new 13inch Retina MacBook Airs are available starting on March 23rd w/ pre-order kicking off now at $999.  While the Mac Minis are available for pre-order now and shipping on March 20th.  The base model has a $799 price tag and the 512GB storage size w/ a $1,099 price tag.

Now all we need is the iPhone 9 and we can wait it out until the new iPhones and 14inch MacBook Pros.
