Canon has been infamous for kind of ruining the potential of their cameras that could be great.  They did it w/ the EOS R, the 5D Mark IV, and many assumed they would do the same w/ the upcoming EOS R5.  Looks like they may make this one a true winner.

Canon Australia dropped a press release on the EOS R5 and shared some details on the specs that should make everyone happy.  They confirmed 8K internal video w/ no cropping up to 30fps, a new CMOS sensor, in-body stabilization that supports lens stabilization, Eye + Face AF tracking, 20fps w/ electronic shutter + 12fps w/ mechanical shutter, and dual card slots.

All this sounds nice but now all we need to know is what the pricing will be.  Availability is gonna be pushed back even further w/ the coronavirus shutting down production facilities and just about everything else in the world.  The good news is that whenever we get a handle on it, Canon will have something amazing to show off.
