Yesterday, Sony announced pre-orders for their next-gen console: the PlayStation 5.  Now that comes w/ a few asterisks attached to it that will make actually obtaining one at launch super-difficult.

First, there will be limited quantities available for pre-order.  We knew that part due to the pandemic providing manufacturing delays -ergo making the mount of consoles available at launch a lot less.  Second, Sony is opening online registration to get on the list for an invite to actually pre-order.  In order to register, you’ll need a PSN ID +  US address for shipping.  And lastly due to limitations, you’ll only be able to pre-order one console if you are chosen to pre-order along w/ 2 of the new DualSense controllers & other PS5 accessories.

Interesting how we got this bit of info but nothing on the actually pricing of the PS5.  And the same goes for Microsoft’s Xbox Series X as well.  For those of you interested that’s just hearing about this for the 1st time, the link to register lies below.
