Yesterday, Verizon announced LG Velvet is coming to their networks supporting their 5G UW speeds later this week. They will be the only one of the carriers to offer the Aurora Red color option as well.
The Velvet offers a tall 6.8inch OLED FullVision display, powered by a Snapdragon 765G CPU, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, running Android 10 w/ LG UX, a triple rear camera w/ a 48MP wide/8MP ultra wide/5MP depth, in-display fingerprint reader, and a 4300 mAh battery. Stay tuned for our review on the AT&T model coming later this week, BTW.
Of course, you’ll have to pay a $100 premium for using VZW’s 5G bands. So instead of paying $599 for this like on every other carrier, you’re gonna have to pay $699 for it. LG’s US launch for this phone was a bit of a misstep as they took a little too long to arrive IMO. Whatever the case, this is coming this Friday, August 21st.
