Yesterday, Zhiyun announced their latest handheld gimbal for creatives + cinematographers w/ the new Crane 2S. They made sure to step things up a bit from their previous gimbals by adding more features and improving on others.
The Crane 2S is definitely smarter, faster, & stronger. It is a 3-axis gimbal w/ a new modular design, better locking, a slightly larger display, and a FlexMount system. It can handle the bigger camera bodies from the BlackMagic BMPCC 6K, Panasonic S1H, Canon EOS 1DX Mk II, and smaller.
You got 6 gimbal modes (Pan Following, Locking, Following, Full-Range POV, Vortex, Go mode), a quick-release mount to allow you to detach cameras in an instant, also quick change between horizontal + vertical mounts, a new 0.96inch OLED screen for menus + features, a new carbon fiber handle, a dedicated slot for a wireless image transmitter, a built-in focus wheel for mechanical or digital focus options, and last but not least a 12-hour battery life thanks to its 3 removable Li-Ion batteries inside.
The Zhiyun Crane 2S is out now starting at $599 for the standard model and $649 for the combo kit that includes a tripod, 3 extra batteries, & a TransMount mini dual handle is coming later this month.
