While we’re just a day after the launch of the Google Pixel 4a, we’re already getting leaks on what to expect for the Pixel 5.  More specifically, images on the device showing off some of what we expected and maybe one or 2 things we didn’t expect.

The images above comes from the folks over at Onleaks x Pricebaba as it shows off a device more or less mirroring that of the 4a.  We see the return of the rear fingerprint sensor which means no Project Soli-powered Face Unlock this go round.  I’d hate to see Google abandon this technology if this turns out to be true.  We also see the dual rear sensors within the camera housing – just like on the Pixel 4/4XL.  Last but not least, we see a hole punch camera on the front for selfies like we just saw on the 4a.

Early rumors put the Pixel 5 at not quite the flagship device as previous years.  This look and rumored specs are coinciding w/ that.  We’re expecting one phone for the Pixel 5 as we might not get an XL version again.  The display is said to be a 5.8inch 90Hz OLED panel, a Snapdragon 765G or 768G CPU w/ 5G support, 6GB of RAM, and a smaller 3080 mAh battery inside for a rumored $699 price tag.

Nothing on those specs sound like its worth that kind of $$$.  Honestly, this isn’t the Pixel 5 I was hoping for but I get that Google is trying to cut costs to make the phone cheaper.  I’m just not sure how well the consumers & the market will react to this move.

If this turns out to be the Pixel 5, are you still buying?
