We knew iPads were getting updated today as well but we didn’t know exactly which ones. Now we know. Apple unveiled their 8th-gen entry-level iPad. It still sits at 10.2inches which got the size upgrade last year but beefed up the internals.
So what’s new? For the most part, you get the latest A12 Bionic CPU that finally brings over their Neural Engine abilities to the base-level iPad to give you 2x the graphics performance + 40% faster CPU. Outside of that, you get iPadOS 14 that brings over handwritten text input support.
The new iPad keeps the same price of $329 while education customers can get it starting at $299. The LTE model starts at $459 as well. It arrives in 32GB + 128GB storage options as well as you pick of Space Grey, Silver, & Gold colors. Pre-orders kick off today & goes on sale on Friday.
