For those of you awaiting for the latest updates for Apple’s software outside of the Mac, today is the day.  No more public betas the official versions of iOS 14, iPadOS 14, watchOS 7, & tvOS 14.  Announced yesterday at their ‘Time Flies’ event was that they would all be available today.  

The iPhone gets the biggest update as iOS 14 will bring over things like widgets, App Library (a form of an app drawer), a new Translator app, smaller UI for phone calls + Siri taking up a lot less of screen space, and much more.  

While on the iPad side of things, iPadOS 14 will offer a universal search bar, new sidebars within apps, smaller UI for Siri + FaceTime calls, their new Scribble feature which allows you to turn handwritten notes into typed text, and more.  

For you Apple Watch users, watchOS 7 gives you sleep-tracking + wake-up alarms utilizing its vibration motor, a new Fitness app and adds more exercises to track, a Wind Down mode allows for snoozing notifications, more watchface complications, the ability to share watchfaces, new cycling directions & fitness tracking for dance workouts, and a new hand-washing detection system. 

And for you Apple TV users, tvOS 14 brings the Control Center from iOS, picture-in-picture mode, multi-user support, the YouTube app on Apple TV gets upgraded from 1080p to now 4K, support for Microsoft’s Elite 2 & Adaptive Xbox One controllers, and better HomeKit integration for smart home accessories.

So make sure you dive into Settings to update your device.  This goes for those of you running public betas as well.
