Earlier today, GoPro unveiled their vision of their latest action camera w/ the Hero 9 Black. This time around they held nothing back and beefed their latest shooter up to offer damn-near everything.
The Hero 9 Black touts a 20MP sensor capable of 5K video @30fps as well as a variety of shooting options like 4K@60fps, 2.7K@120fps, 1440p@120fps, 1080p@240fps, as well as 1080p livestreaming + webcam mode. You now have a larger 2.27inch touchscreen on the rear as well as a new 1.4inch color display on the front.
Its also capable of HDR Night lapse video, RAW photos, HyperSmooth 3.0 stabilization w/ in-camera horizon leveling, voice control w/ 14 commands, stereo + RAW audio, 3 mics on board w/ advance wind-noise reduction, built-in folding mounting fingers, removable lens cover as well as adjustable lenses via their mods, still rugged + waterproof up to 33ft, and last but not least a larger 1,720 mAh battery giving you 40% more juice than the last model.
The GoPro Hero 9 Black is out now for $450 (which is like $50 more than the Hero 8 Black) or $350 when you buy it from GoPro w/ a 1-year GoPro Plus subscription that adds $50 for a year. Looks like they finally removed all stops but at a premium. Is this what you’ve been waiting for from GoPro?
