So like the leaks & rumors suggested, Sony made the A7C official this evening. This was teased a concept camera as this the 1st ever full-frame mirrorless camera this small of a size. This rangefinder-style shooter w/ an EVF packs just about everything you would find in a A7 series but in a smaller a6000 size.
The A7C offers a 24.2MP full-frame mirrorless sensor w/ IBIS (in-body image stabilization), ISO range up to 51,200, shoot up to 10fps w/ autoexposure, capable of 4K@30fps/1080p@120fps up to 100Mbps, real-time Eye AF for video shooting, customizable AF Transition Speed + AF Subject Shift Sensitivity, Touch Tracking while movie shooting, a swiveling 3inch LCD display, an EVF (electronic viewfinder), USB-C, a single SD card slot, and a built-in mic + headphone jacks.
If that’s not interesting enough, Sony crafted a new kit lens to go along w/ it. Its a f/4-5.6 28-60mm zoom lens for its latest shooter. It only measures out to only 45mm long so it won’t stick out too much. The Sony A7C will cost you $1,800 for the body-only & the new kit lens will cost you $500. Both are due out later in October.
