While we got some rumors of it ahead of the Pixel launch, it sounds like we shouldn’t count out the new Nest thermostat still coming.  According to the folks over at Bloomberg, we’re still set to get the 4th-gen model in coming weeks before the end of the year.

This new model is said to arrive in a plastic body similar to that of the Nest Thermostat E but will add Project Soli radar chip for the price of $129.  This would add hand gestures to adjust the temperature by waving/swiping your hand in front of it.  A product resembling this already got cleared by the FCC last month as well so its done and awaiting for Google to hit the launch button.

With the lower price point, this would bring homeowners who’ve held out from picking up a smart thermostat.  This would be $40 cheaper than the $169 Nest E & $120 less than the premium $249 Nest.

Would you pick this up for your home if this comes to light & the gesture feature works well?
