Today Verizon announced their 2nd-gen Stream TV streaming box as it is now available for purchase. It has a $70 price tag and is small body is slim enough to place almost anywhere in your living room/entertaining area.
This is their new and improved Android TV-based streaming solution that supports 4K streaming as well as HDR10/HDR10+, Wi-Fi 6 hardware, and includes a voice remote w/ dedicated Google Assistant button. This will grant you access to the usual suspects of Disney+, Hulu, ESPN, Pluto TV, MLB TV, HBO, STARZ, Prime Video and Netflix to name a few. You even get an entirely new UI from the previous model as well.
Verizon Fios and 5G Home users can get the Stream TV box for free w/ installation as well. I am curious to see how this holds up against the new Google Chromecast at $20 more.
