When you think of Sony Cinema Cameras, you might think of the FS5 or FS5 Mk II, today Sony wants to change that & give you something new to think about.  Meet the new Sony FX6 Cinema Camera made to be a replacement or update for the aforementioned models.

The FX6 does a have lot to offer BTW.  You got an Exmor R full-frame 10.2MP sensor, powered by BIONZ XR processor, capable of up to 16-bit 4K RAW via SDI output, 4:2:2 10-bit, as well as 4K @120fps or 1080p @240fps  slow-motion, S-Log 3/S Cinetone, over 15 stops of dynamic range, phase detection AF w/ face tracking + real-time eye AF, dual ISO going up to 409,600, built-in ND filter, 2 XLR audio ports w/ 2ch/4ch recording options, has dual card slots that uses SDXC V90 or CF Express Type A, and the same BP-U batteries from the FS/FX line.

For those of you who plan on doing long-form content or filmmaking, this might be a new option for you. The Sony FX6 is due out really soon – like next month soon.  It will have a starting retail price of $5,998 for the body only and $7,199 w/ the f/4 24-105mm G OSS FE lens.
