After being rumored for a few months, Sony’s new G Master lens if here & official. Introducing their new f/1.4 FE 35mm G Master lens for Sony E-Mount cameras de-clicked for photos/videos.
This will bring forth 2 XA elements for crazy-good sharpness, 11-blade aperture, a moisture-resistant design made to repel water, the atypical AF/MF switch, and a focus hold button that can be customizable. All while taking advantage of Sony’s AF (autofocus) system while keeping the noise down for recording audio/video.
The f/1.4 35mm is on still a good size w/o being massive. It weighs in at 18.5oz and will works on APS-C cameras but will become a 52.5mm equivalent. You can pre-order yours now as it will be on sale sometime in February for $1,399.
