Earlier this morning, Microsoft revealed their new gaming headset: the Xbox Wireless Headset. This is their 1st official headset since Xbox 360 so from then until now, they let other 3rd-party manufacturers handle it.
The Xbox Wireless Headset will not only work w/ Xbox Series S/X consoles but it will also work w/ Xbox One, PCs, & mobile devices via Bluetooth. You can also pair the headset to your phone + Xbox at the same time so you can listen to audio or take calls while you game.
Their new headset has a lightweight frame w/ large leather earcups + an adjustable cushioned headband. It takes some cues from the Surface Headphones by adding the feature to rotate the ear cup dials to let you adjust volume and game / audio chat balance. You got a 15-hour battery life and quick charge w/ 30-minutes giving you 4 hours of juice. It will take 3 hours to charge completely from being dead.
The headset offer support for Windows Sonic, Dolby Atmos, DTS Headphone:X spatial sound technologies. Microsoft put a lot of effort into the mic quality to better support Xbox party chats. This is done w/ dual beamforming mics + voice isolation to knock out background noise. The Xbox Accessories app will get updated to offer control over bass, EQ, mic monitoring, brightness of the mic’s mute light, & auto-mute sensitivity.
The new Xbox Wireless Headset is due out soon on March 16th globally for only $99. For those of you who want it ASAP, you can hit the link below to pre-order & secure yours for launch.
