Now we thought we were getting get the leak on the Sonos headphones but we did get a look & info on their smaller portable speaker though. This is the forthcoming Sonos Roam: their smaller Move speaker and their answer to the ever-so-popular UE Boom.

This exclusive leak is courtesy of the folks from The Verge BTW. The Sonos Roam weighs in at around 1lb & measures in at 6.5 x 2.5 x 2.5 in regards to its dimensions. It will ship w/ a USB charging cable & a wireless charging dock that will be sold separately for $49. It will also arrive in either Black or White color option.

The Roam will carry the same Bluetooth + Wi-Fi connections like the Sonos Move does as well. It will be in Wi-Fi at home and utilize Bluetooth while on the go. It is said to have a 10-hour battery life, be completely waterproof, and will take advantage of the Sonos S2 platform as well.

So w/ this due out on April 20th for $169, it’s gonna be hard not to buy this over a UE Boom or other portable speaker anymore. So between this coming soon & the Sonos x Ikea speakers starting at $99, they’ll have every price point covered to get you into their system.
