OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei has a new company called Nothing. And they’re getting ready to drop their 1st product: earbuds. More specifically, the ‘Ear 1’ which will be a pair of true wireless earbuds.
Announced earlier today via blog post, Pei described them as being ‘retro futuristic’ while offering refined functionality. It will be designed in collaboration w/ Teenage Engineering and will offer a stripped-down aesthetic. The image above is a concept render to give you an idea of what they’re thinking about design-wise for a final product.
Instead of going the phone route for an initial offering, Nothing is going into the earbuds market as they’re selling by the millions. Will you be picking up the Ear 1 earbuds when they finally come available?
