Yesterday, Zhiyun announced a new smartphone gimbal option but this time w/ a 3-axis instead of 2. Meet the new Smooth Q3 gimbal for the content creators who use their smartphone to capture photos/videos.
This 3-axis gimbal arrives in a foldable, compact design that allows you to pull off things like horizontal/portrait shooting modes, physical buttons for recording, zooming, and panorama shots but that’s only the beginning of what the Smooth Q3 has to offer. There’s a built-in fill light that can rotate w/ 3 levels of brightness, a gesture control to allow you to use one-hand to control your shots via gestures. Then there’s a ‘Multiple You’ feature where it allows you to clone yourself on the same screen w/ MagicClone Pano.
Via their ZY Cami app, there’s a tracking feature in SmartFollow 3.0 where the gimbal will follow the selected subject. You can also put all of your footage together via the ZY Cami editor – which comes in handy for those of you on Android. All of this w/ a 7-hour battery life + 15 hours on standby.
Not a bad combination of features in the portable package. This starts at $89 for the standard package which includes the gimbal, tripod, guide, & USB-C cable. While the combo package is priced at $109 which comes w/ everything the standard does but adds a storage bag, a wrist strap, and a ZY Cami Prime card for premium features.
