Google also made some noteworthy updates to their ever-popular & useful Photos app today as well.  One of the more notable new things is the ability create a Locked Folder to hide images from those who might wander on your Photos account.

The Locked Folder will be hidden behind a password or biometric authentication.  This will be helpful for those of you who often show off a photo on your phone & pray the don’t swipe/scroll too far.  Whether it be actual private images, nudes, or images of a mistress/secret family, there is an easy use case for this feature.

Also new are the ability to control what memories you want to see, more cinematic photos, & better machine learning to better group/personalize photos.  These will launch on Pixels 1st and will make its way to other Android devices throughout the year.

It just sucks that you’re gonna have to pay for more storage within Google Photos if you surpassed that default 15GB or getting close to it.
