Yesterday, Google made the budget version of their earbuds official w/ the $99 Pixel Buds A-Series.  Having already been leaked in detail, we’ll break down the details of what it has to offer & how it compares against the current 2nd-gen $179 Pixel Buds.

So the Pixel Buds A-Series retains the same great sound quality via their 12mm dynamic drivers, Adaptive Sound, dual beamforming mics, hands-free ‘Hey Google’ voice commands, IPX4 rating for dust/water-resistance, 5-hour battery life, and touch controls to answer calls, play, pause, & skip between songs. They also made the ear hooks a little bit softer + smaller as well as making them louder & less audio cutouts.

So the only thing that’s missing from the standard 2nd-gen Buds are the ability to swipe up/down for volume control and to charge the buds case wirelessly. Outside of that & the color options, they’re identical at almost half the retail price. Which would make these an even better value at $99. Being the A-Series line of buds, the new color options are Clearly White & Dark Olive.

Definitely looking forward to checking these out to see how they hold up as well as compare them against their big brother. Pre-orders are out now and are coming on June 17th. Will you be picking these up or do you need to see some review on it 1st?
