Even though we’re still a few weeks away & we know a lot about what Samsung is about to offer, there’s more. More specifically, more details on the new 3rd-gen Z Flip & Z Fold. This bit of news is courtesy of Evan Blass or evleaks over on Twitter BTW.
The Z Flip3 offers a 6.7inch display inside, a 1.9inch display on the outside, a 10MP selfie camera, and 2 12MP rear shooters. While the Z Fold3 offers a 7.6inch display fully open, a 6.2inch display on the outside, a 4MP main selfie + 10MP cover selfie cameras, 3 12MP sensors on the rear, and support for the S-Pen Pro & Fold Edition styluses.
While the previous 2 Folds lacked any type of IP rating due to the technology involved, they’ve managed to squeeze some in this time around. Both the Z Flip 3 & the Z Fold 3 will offer IPX8 rating which can withstand liquids up to 3ft 3inch but is not tested for dust protection though. That alone might be worth the upgrade or purchase for most or many.
I am sure we will get even more details via leaks on these devices leading up Samsung’s August Unpacked event. So be on the lookout for when they drop and come back on the 11th for the official details.
