Earlier today, Sony announced their 2nd-gen ZV vlogging camera but things are definitely different  this time around.  Meet the ZV-E10 4K vlogging camera w/ an APS-C interchangeable lens this time around. This matched up exactly w/ the previous leak about it.

It offers a 24.2MP sensor w/ ISO of 100-32,000, 425 AF points w/ eye & subject-tracking auto-focus, 4K video @30fps downgraded from 6K, Hybrid log-gamma/S-Log2/S-Log 3 color profiles, slow-motion in 1080p@120fps, mic + headphone jack are present, livestreaming via USB for phones running Android 11 w/ iOS coming soon, and a battery capable of 80 minutes of video.

So the ZV-E10 takes the same product and greatly improves on it.  While you only have electronic image stabilization, you do have the ability to record sensor data to fix it in post w/ ease.  You still retain its 3inch LCD touchscreen display, the Bokeh Switch mode to blur the background or bring into focus and the Product Showcase mode to give you AF dedicated to products.

So Sony kind of melded the previous ZV-1 w/ their smaller Alpha-series camera to create this – giving you the best of both worlds.  So you get to enjoy things like a touchscreen flip out camera + headphone jack but adds better battery life, larger sensor, eye/subject-tracking AF, & color profiles.

The Sony ZV-E10 will be available at the end  of August starting at $699 for the body-only and $799 w/ a f/3.5-5.6 16-50mm kit lens.  Which is pretty good since the ZV-1 had a $749 price tag on it.  It will arrive in Black & White color options.  Will you be picking this one up?
