So last week, Sony was supposed to have a camera announcement unveiling something new.  That announcement was postponed due to offending Chinese citizens w/ the 84th anniversary of Japan’s invasion of China during WWII.  No new date has been set as of yet.

But we got details on what would have been and will be unveiled: the Sony ZV-E10.  Not quite the ZV sequel you’d expect to see either.   These renders are courtesy of the folks over at Sony Alpha Rumors BTW.   The body appears a bit larger w/ a similar button layout but adds the E-Mount option to it where you can add Sony lenses and others w/ proper adapters.  This is a cool upgrade but depending on its pricing might be stepping on the toes of its a6000-series of shooters a bit.

So now that you’ve seen the images, let’s talk about some of the presumed specs to go along w/ it, shall we?  Based off their sources, they have the new ZV-E10 armed w/ a 24MP APS-C sensor capable of video up to 4K@30fps, you will have a mic jack + a headphone jack, 1 card slot, retain its background defocus + product showcase features, won’t use Sony’s NP-FZ100 battery and won’t utilize Sony’s new menu system from the A7S IIILast but not least, it will bring over S-Log2, S-Log3, & HLG color profiles but don’t look for S-Cinetone though.

Would you be interested in this one or is your heart set on another one of the many Sony shooters?
