In the midst of the price hike over the past few years, Hulu is the next streaming service to do an increase. Starting on October 8th, their streaming plans are going up by $1.

This will bring the ad-supported plan from $6 to $7 monthly and its ad-free plan from $12 to $13 monthly. However, the Disney bundle which includes Disney+, Hulu, & ESPN+ won’t be affected along w/ Hulu’s live TV service as well. For those of you w/ the ad-based plan, this is coming from the price cut from $8 down to $6 back in 2019.

Despite just turning a profit, next year will be an interesting one for the company. I say this because NBC will gain the right to cancel their programming agreements to put their content on Peacock as CBS + Fox can do the same.

Hopefully this isn’t the case as I’m not sure Hulu can survive w/o major network content. Let us know your thoughts on it.
