Last bit of new before we move to iPhone territory is the next-generation Apple Watch. The Apple Watch Series 7 is slightly larger than previous models as the rumors lead us to believe.
The Series 7 smartwatch comes in at 41mm & 45mm sizes that gives us even smaller bezels as well – damn near edge-to-edge at 1.7mm. A brighter always-on display that is 70% brighter and can show 50% more text than the Series 6. There’s a new crack-resistant crystal on top of the display as the Watch is now IP6X dust/water-resistant. There’s even a full screen keyboard now that supports swiping via watchOS 8.
Outside of no new additional sensors + processors, you now have up to 18-hour battery life and a new charger that uses USB-C now instead of USB-A for faster charging. And by fast charging, Apple quotes an 8 minute charge can give you up to 8 hours of juice.
While we don’t have a date for the Apple Watch Series 7 it will be available later this fall. It will start at $399 as the Watch SE will be $279, and the Watch Series 3 will still be around at $199.
