Now some folks have been waiting for the elusive Pixel Watch to see the light of day, new leaks say its coming in May.  According to Jon Prosser via Twitter who originally leaked the Pixel Watch info and mockup seen above, says its coming sometime in late May.  Which would align w/ Google I/O timing in regards to an announcement and launch later that month.

So having recently acquired FitBit, redesigning their Wear OS, and crafting their own powerful Tensor CPU, the Pixel Watch could potentially be the Apple Watch competitor many have been waiting for from Google.  Just as long as they have the proper health sensors to actually be competitive.   If it winds up looking like the mockup above, and offer heart-rate monitor, ECG, accurate sleep-tracking, etc. I’m all for this one.

Also set to be unveiled at I/O this year is their next-gen budget device: the Pixel 6a Based on a previous leak late last year, we expected to see a smaller 6.2inch display w/ hole punch selfie camera, possibly powered by a Google Tensor CPU, USB-C port w/o a headphone jack, possible in-display fingerprint reader, same rear camera bar + dual sensors from the Pixel 6.

So add this along w/ the Pixel Watch, the new A-line smartphone, new software features, and maybe even a new Chromecast, Google I/O 2022 might be the 1st interesting Google event since the pandemic kicked off.  We still got a few months between now and then so more leaks could appear to make things more enticing for all things Google.

Are you excited about any of these 2 products potentially coming to I/O this year?
