Earlier this evening, Samsung confirmed that their 1st Unpacked event for the year is coming soon – like next month soon. This will be for their Galaxy S22 line up: the S22, the S22 Plus, & the S22 Ultra as well as their Galaxy Tab S8 lineup (yes, multiple tablets this year).
They dropped a press release written by Samsung president Dr. TM Roh, touting the ultimate Ultra yet and the most noteworthy S series. This pretty much lets us know that Galaxy Note features coming to the Galaxy S-line. Ergo, killing off the Note series or putting it on timeout for a little longer.
In regards to the S22 lineup, we’re expecting the same 3 phone lineup. The S22 has a 6.2inch display, the S22 Plus has a 6.5inch display both offers a 50MP main sensor along w/ an ultra wide + telephoto lens.
Meanwhile the S22 Ultra gets curved + streamlined body w/ a S Pen w/ holder inside the phone, a 6.8inch QHD display, Exynos or Snapdragon 8 CPU, up to 12GB of RAM, up to 512GB of storage, a 5000 mAh battery, a f/1.8 108MP main sensor, f/2.2 12MP ultrawide, f/2.4 10MP 3 x telephoto, and a f/4.9 10MP 10x periscope cameras.
So the S22 Ultra sounds pretty good despite being a slight design refresh and beefier internals while the other S22 family sounds fine. I am curious to see what new Galaxy note features will be coming to the S22 Ultra.
