After being MIA for 2021, Samsung waited until CES 2022 to make the Galaxy S21 FE official. Not that Samsung hasn’t been shy about adding devices to their budget lines in the meantime w/ countless A-series devices.
The S21 FE is bringing us everything we would expect it to have. The S21 FE offers a 6.4inch 120Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 888 CPU, up to 8GB of RAM + 256GB of storage,IP68 dust/water resistant body, stereo speakers, running Android 12 w/ One UI, and a 4500 mAh battery w/ 25W wired charging + reverse wireless charging.
As far as the shooters, you got a triple rear camera setup as anticipated. This will be w/ a f/1.8 12MP main shooter w/ DualPixel AF + OIS, f/2.2 12MP ultrawide, an f/2.4 8MP telephoto w/ 3x optical zoom + 30x space zoom, and a f/2.2 32MP selfie camera.
Now its set to arrive next week on the 11th. But the pricing is the odd part of the whole thing. It will be $699 for a base model w/ 6GB of RAM + 128GB of storage which ain’t bad. But last year Google dropped the best value phone in Android w/ the Pixel 6 for $599 – which is $100 less. You’ll get more RAM, better photos + possibly videos for less. So it will be debatable on if the S21 FE is for you – especially w/ the S22 around the corner as well.
So do you think the S21 FE is too little too late or right on time?
