Bad news as yet another service almost everyone utilizes is going up in price.  This time around, its coming from Amazon.  Pricing is going from $119 up to $139 annually for Prime membership and monthly will go from $12.99 to $14.99.

This was all revealed during their Q4 earnings report earlier today.  Boo!  In case you wanted to blame inflation or the pandemic, they have another reasoning behind it.  Amazon states the reason for it all is due to more Prime benefits, the rise in wages, & transportation costs.

So when does this take effect?  Quite soon actually.  New members will see the new pricing on February 18th while current members will kick in after March 25th.  Keep in mind that the last time they did a price hike was in April of 2018 and then back in 2014 prior to that.  So the timing sucks but they’re not increasing it as much as Netflix has over the years.

Now is this too much for you right now?  Or will it depend on what the new benefits are?  Or are you pissed but just gonna pay it?  What would be your cut off pricing for Amazon Prime?  Sound off.
