So new year, new tech continues on as per usual. This time around, we’re talking about new treats from Apple w/ a new M-series CPU & new Macs to go along w/ it – all due out later this year.

According to Mark Gurman over Bloomberg, Apple will reveal their M2 CPU this year  – more towards the fall/latter half of it.  It will be slightly more powerful than the M1s w/ the same 9-core setup and faster graphic cores.  The new M2 will go on to power new 2022 13inch MacBook Pro, Mac Mini, 24inch iMac, & a new redesigned MacBook Air.  We might see Pro & Max versions of the M2 arrive sometime next year in 2023.

We may also see a larger iMac Pro w/ M1 Pro + M1 Max CPU options as well as a smaller Mac Pro w/ M1 Max chips onboard.  Mac Mini is said to get an M1 Pro options as well as the M2 one.  So along w/ all of this we’re expecting a new iPhone, Apple Watch, & 5G iPhone SE this year.

So who’s looking to upgrade their Macs this year to one of these?
