After being out of stock quickly when launched, the Bellroy Leather Case for the Pixel 6 Pro has been on my radar for  a while now.  So  when it became available again late last month, I quickly ordered one on Amazon.

I got the eye-catching Terracotta color option as it spoke to me.  So it is a slim, eco-tanned leather case w/ microfiber lining, & 3-year warranty that was made in partnership w/ Google.   So after a few weeks w/ it, we’re ready to let you know if this $49 case is worth it or not.  Let’s get started.

You got a raised cutout for the rear camera bar, mic on the top, USB-C port + speakers on the bottom. Doesn’t add too much weight to the phone as it pretty lightweight. It feels soft yet protected in hand. You got a decent grip that’s good enough for me but could be slippery for others though. You got metal buttons to help w/ the premium feel to it all. This is like if Nomad Goods kept making Pixel cases but within its Bellroy style.

After a few weeks, there is some mild wear & tear. I got some slight discoloration on the corners where the case ends & the screen meet. I also got a scuff on the rear near the Bellroy logo on the bottom rear.
there is no patina here which is something that those are familiar w/ other leather cases. Nomad Goods offer it which basically means it will age nice. So when it really wear + tear, its not gonna look as nice.

I couldn't find any information on drop protection so don’t expect the case to handle high drops & offer proper protection.

And last but not least: the protection. I tried to find information on drop protection but have yet to find any. So don’t expect the case to handle high drops & offer proper protection. So for a $50 case, this might just be a pretty face. I’m not willing to put my Pixel 6 Pro to the test to find out. So as nice as it is, I’m not sure if I can recommend this case if you want your Pixel 6 Pro to be pretty & protected – just pretty.
