Yesterday, we were invited to NYC for Jackery’s unveiling of their latest portable generator: the Solar Generator 2000 Pro. This gives the Explorer 2000 Pro Portable Power Station w/ 6 SolarSaga 200W solar panels to give you power anywhere you can catch some sunlight.
The latest generator offers a charging power of 2160-watt-hours of lithium-ion storage capacity, 2200W AC power, 4400W peak power, and a total of 8 outlets (3 AC, 2 18W QuickCharge 3.0 USB-A, 2 100W USB-CPD, 1 12V car jack) that can charge multiple devices at the same time. With this thing at full charge, you can charge things like a projector, popcorn machine, coffee maker, blender, laptops, smartphones, iPads, & more – all at once. All while weighing in at around 43lbs by itself.
While the SolarSaga panels come w/ kickstands + handles that offer 200W per panel that can be stacked into the DC input. Each weighs in at just over 18lbs each and totals up to over 150lbs when you add all 6 panels, cables, & the generator. This can be used to charge your power station from 0 to 100 in 2 and a half hours of sunlight. It does this in around 2 hours w/ an AC outlet BTW.
Now this won’t come cheap as this will arrive on May 12th for $6,199. This will come w/ all 6 of the solar panels, cables, & such. The competition is rough out here while Anker’s 757 PowerStation comes in at less than a quarter of the price for a little less power.
Whichever route you go with you gotta hella options to keep your things charged while camping, glamping, or living your best van life.
