For the uninitiated, Mint Mobile is a pre-paid MVNO carrier that runs on T-Mobile’s network giving you up to 5G speeds at an affordable price point. Earlier this week, Mint Mobile revealed their 1st-ever family plan armed w/ low pricing you won’t see on other family plans.
Their Family Plans start as low as $15 a month per line for 2 lines for 4GB of data. Then goes up to $20 a month per line for 10GB of data, $25 a month per line for 15GB of data, & $30 a month per line for unlimited data w/ 35GB cap before throttling. All plans offer unlimited talk & text, nationwide coverage, Wi-Fi calling, both LTE + 5G speeds, free calling to Mexico + Canada, and free mobile hotspot using your data cap.
And in case you were wondering, they cap out at up to 5 lines for their Family Plan. Mint Mobile really excels here as you get the great discounts as low as a 2-line plan. Other carriers require at least 3-lines to get the best savings on a family plan. And lastly like their standard plans, Mint does prepaid for these plans starting at 3 months increments. For example, a 2-line plan w/ 4GB of data will come to $90 for 3 months of service ($15 per month x 3 per line).
So if you’re looking to save on your family plan, you might want to give Mint Mobile a shot. We’re currently testing the service and should have our review by the end of the month or early June at the latest BTW. So stay tuned for our coverage on that.
