Its been quite some time since Bowers & Wilkins gave us some new headphones. Their PX5 & PX7 noise-canceling cans came out in 2019 and now in 2022, we got something new. Meet the new B&W Px7 S2 noise-canceling headphones. For the most part, the design is similar to the PX lineup and resembles the PX5 but w/ larger cups.
So the Px7 S2 headphones offer a slimmer profile, better fit w/ memory foam ear cups, updated mics, armed w/ a pair of 40mm dynamic full-range drivers pumping out 24-bit high-res audio, 30 hours of battery life w/ fast-charging that can give you 7 hours in a 15-minute charge, Bluetooth 5.0, and support for Qualcomm’s aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, AAC, & SBC. As far as the noise-canceling is concerned, B&W armed it w/ 6 mics in total. 2 to measure the output, 2 to react to the ambient noise outside, & 2 for voice clarity for phone calls.
The Px7 S2 will arrive in 3 color options of Grey, Blue, & Black. You’ll be able to buy yours on June 29th for $399. But don’t expect B&W to go back into hiding either. They’ll be dropping the new Px8 reference-level headphones. Armed w/ a new design w/ premium materials to go along w/ the premium audio. It will come w/ a $549 price tag when it arrives later this year.
Expect a full review on them coming soon. So will you be giving Bowers & Wilkins latest a shot or not?
