So we already know to expect the new iPhone 14 lineup come September in the form of the standard 14, 14 Max, 14 Pro, & 14 Pro Max.  But there were several heavily rumored Apple products that have been set to be unveiled for a while now but never seen the light of day.

According to the latest report over the weekend from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, we might see just about rumored product update that hasn’t come in September as well.  So this means along w/ the new iPhones, we’ll get the 2nd-gen AirPods Pro, the 2nd-gen HomePod, a more powerful Apple TV, 2 new iPads, 3 new Apple Watches, some updated M2 Macs.

Let’s start w/ the new iPhones, shall we?  You can expect a bigger divide between the standard and Pro model specs/features.  The Pro/Pro Max models are getting the new A16 CPU to support always-on display, a new pill-shaped cutout for Face ID, and a new 48MP camera sensor.  Meanwhile, the standard + larger 6.7inch Max-sized 14 models will be armed w/ the same A15 CPU that’s already on the current 13 lineup.  The standard Max will replace the smaller 5.4inch mini BTW.

Next up, the new Macs Apple may have to offer in the fall.  We are getting their latest M2 chip in just about every Mac.  So there will be a Mac Mini in both M2 + M2 Pro configurations, 14inch + 16inch MacBook Pros w/ M2 Pro + M2 Max configurations, and a Mac Pro w/ M2 Ultra + M2 Extreme configurations.  Apple is already hard at work on the M3 CPU which will make its way in the Macs for next year.

Also, the M2 CPU will be powering their mixed-reality headset.  It is rumored to have 16GB of RAM and run their realityOS software when it sees the light of day.

Now moving onto the iPad side of things.  We’re expecting a new M2-powered 11inch + 12.9inch iPad Pro – making them more powerful & better battery life potentially.  We’re also getting an updated entry-level iPad powered by an A14 CPU, 5G connectivity, & a USB-C port – finally.  And lastly we get an announcement for a larger 14-15inch iPad coming within the next year or 2.

Then we got the 3, yes, 3 Apple Watch models coming this fall.   So what’s the 3rd model?  Well, its a more rugged watch geared towards extreme sports & such.   This is set to join the new Apple Watch Series 8 and the new SE.  The SE will officially kill off the Series 3 hanging around in their inventory and potentially offer a faster S8 processor that will be in the Series 8.

Then we have the  long-awaited 2nd-gen AirPods Pro finally arriving.  These are said to have a new chip, better sound, & possibly lossless audio support to go along w/ its potential earbud-like redesign but no one is certain about that as of yet.

While Apple has been quiet about Apple TV at WWDC, they’re about to drop a refreshed model.  Armed w/ an A14 CPU + more RAM for more gaming abilities on tvOS 16.  And finally, we got an updated HomePod in a slightly smaller size, refreshed display, support multi-touch functionality, and powered by an S8 CPU.

Apple usually wants your money but for the fall of 2022, they want all of it plus what you got in savings as well.  If you’re looking to update some of you older Apple products, this might be the year to do it.
