Google’s upcoming Made by Google event will take place on August 20 at 10 AM PT/1 PM ET in NYC. Along with Android 16 leaving beta and becoming official to all, we expect to see new hardware from Google with the Pixel 10 lineup of smartphones (which includes the Pixel 10 Pro Fold), the Pixel Watch 4, and a new pair of Pixel Buds. As per usual, many details of the products have been leaked online (via Android Headlines and @evleaks), while others could remain a surprise until the event.

Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro XL

All Pixel 10 phone models will maintain their three-phone approach with a base model, a smaller Pro flagship, and a larger Pro flagship. The three models will be powered by Google’s new Tensor G5 processor and up to 100-hour battery life with Extreme Battery Saver. While Google is said to use a new chipmaker for its Tensor G5 CPU, it’s rumored to power more on-device AI features and not be a performance-based beast like other chips. Hopefully, it can help avoid the overheating issue that has plagued many Pixel owners.

The base Pixel 10 is expected to look similar to the Pixel 9 but adds a third rear camera and mildly larger dimensions. The 10 is to be equipped with a 6.3-inch OLED display, offering a triple rear-facing camera setup consisting of a 48MP main wide lens with Macro Focus, a 13MP ultrawide lens, and a zoom lens capable of Super Res Zoom, providing up to 20x digital zoom and 5x optical zoom. The cameras are said to capture 4K video at 24/30/60 fps. Pricing is said to remain at $799 for the base model.

The flagship Pixel 10 Pro (6.3-inch OLED) and Pixel 10 Pro XL (6.8-inch OLED) models are expected to have a top-tier level of RAM (i.e., 16GB or higher), larger batteries, and a more high-end triple rear camera system, which includes a 50MP main wide lens, a 48MP ultrawide with Macro Focus, and a new periscope lens capable of up to 100x digital zoom & 5x optical zoom. Video recording goes up to 8K at 24/30 fps, but could still be powered by Video Boost using the cloud. Pricing also stayed the same as last year, with the 10 Pro starting at $999 and the 10 Pro XL starting at $1,199.

Additionally, all three non-folding Pixel 10 models are expected to support magnetic Qi2 charging (Google’s version of MagSafe) and will be referred to as PixelSnap. I am curious to see if MagSafe accessories will work with PixelSnap ones and vice versa.

Pixel 10 Pro Fold

via Android Headlines

For Google’s third folding phone, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, we can expect more overall improvements. While Samsung finally went thin with its Galaxy Z Fold 7, last year’s Pixel 9 Pro Fold was already pretty thin.

However, in an attempt to become more durable, Google is said to use a multi-alloy steel hinge and a high-strength aluminum alloy cover. Speaking of durability, this might be the first foldable with an IP68 rating, making it nearly resistant to dust and water, and it can be submerged in liquid for up to 30 minutes. Other foldables for 2025 only go up to IP48, which isn’t as effective against dust particles and lint.

The exterior cover is said to get slightly larger, going from a 6.3-inch to a 6.4-inch display, while its interior panel is expected to remain at 8 inches. Don’t expect an upgrade in its camera setup. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold cameras will carry over from last year’s model with a 48MP main, a 10.5MP ultrawide, a 10.8MP telephoto w/ 5x zoom, and a pair of 10MP selfie cameras. However, its battery could get an upgrade to a 5015 mAh cell. And lastly, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold will retain the 256GB and 512GB storage options, but could add a 1TB size. Pricing is said to start at $1,799, like its predecessor.

Pixel Watch 4

via Android Headlines

Google’s 4th-gen smartwatch is rumored to keep what made the Pixel Watch 3 great and improve solely on its shortcomings. The Pixel Watch 4 will keep its domed glass design and 41mm and 45mm size options.

However, it is said to have a thicker bezel, an additional second physical button, a dual-band GPS antenna for more accurate tracking, and a larger screen to help support a larger battery. The 41mm is suggested to go from a 307mAh to a 327mAh cell, while the 45mm is said to go from a 420mAh to a 459mAh cell. The new changes could make the smartwatch easier to repair, as currently, Google just replaces them rather than repairing them. The slight change would also bring forth a brighter screen, going from 2,000 to 3,000 nits of maximum brightness.

Additionally, this slight design change would bring a new charging connector, which would turn your Pixel Watch 4 into a tabletop clock while charging. On the software side, we could see new features coming with Wear OS 6, the addition of an emergency satellite-based SOS messaging service, more AI-based workout features, Gemini Assistant, and the Loss of Pulse Detection would arrive at launch instead of months later, as it did with the Pixel Watch 3.

Pricing is said to be cheaper by $50 if you can believe it. The Pixel Watch 4 is said to start at $349 for the Wi-Fi 41mm size and $50 more for the LTE version.

New Pixel Buds

via Android Headlines

While Google already has the Pixel Buds 2 Pro, the company is also rumored to launch the sequel to its Pixel Buds A-series. It’s hard to believe its predecessor is four years old, as Google still sells them. Unfortunately, there isn’t much known about the Pixel Buds 2a, outside of the leaked render of them and the alleged three color options of Hazel, Iris, and Fog Light.

Which of the four products are you looking forward to?
