Like the rest of the Pixel 10 phones, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold heavily resembles the previous Pro Fold phone but adds a moderate update with improved specs and internals. Inside lies a redesigned and durable aluminum frame and hinge cover with an IP68 body, a first on any foldable, to help it battle against drops, dust, and liquid better than any other folding phone. Google also claims its redesigned hinges are reliable enough to survive up to 10 years’ worth of opening and closing, which is quite the claim.

As with every other Pixel 10 phone, It’s powered by Google’s latest Tensor G5 CPU, which brings the ability to split the screen side-by-side, using both interior and exterior screens, and up to three screens for multiple camera angles. The awesome Made You Look feature is still present, which uses a cute animation to get the attention of smaller children for pictures and videos. Google’s latest foldable also lets you use up to three apps at the same time for peak multitasking.

Like the other Pixel 10 Pro models, you get a one-year subscription to Google’s AI Pro plan, which includes Gemini Pro, NotebookLM, Gemini in Gmail and Docs, and access to Veo 3 Fast in Gemini to create videos using our text-to-video generation model. It also includes the new features shared among the Pixel 10 devices, such as Magic Cue, Daily Hub, Camera Coach, Pixel Journal, Take A Message, Voice Translate, Edit with Ask Photos, and more.

The Pixel 10 Pro Fold’s outer screen gets mildly larger than the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, going from a 6.3-inch to a brighter 6.4-inch OLED panel with 1080 x 2364 resolution, a 60-120 Hz variable refresh rate, and up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness. The interior screen remains an 8-inch OLED display with 2076 x 2152 resolution and a 1-120 Hz variable refresh rate and is also a brighter screen, going up from 2,700 nits to 3,000 nits of peak brightness.

Its battery also gets an upgrade, going from a 4,650 mAh to a 5,015 mAh cell. Google quotes over a 30-hours in a single charge and up to 84-hours when using Extreme Battery Saver. It’s also capable of fast-charging up to 50% in 30 minutes using a 30W charger and supports Qi2 15W wireless charging via Google’s new Pixelsnap accessories.

Outside of the previous changes, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold continues to offer 16 GB of RAM, a choice of 256 GB, 512 GB, or 1 TB storage options, and the same triple rear camera system from the previous model, which consists of an updated f/1.7 48 MP main wide, an f/2.2 10.5 MP ultrawide, an f/3.1 10.8 MP telephoto sensor with 5x optical zoom and up to 20x with Super Res Zoom, and dual f/2.2 10 MP selfie and inner cameras. Due to the lower megapixel sensors, it more so mirrors the base model Pixel 10 in feature set and abilities.

The Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold will arrive in Moonstone and Jade color options and start at $1,800 for the 256GB model but also arrives in 512GB and 1TB storage options. Pre-orders begin today, and it will go on sale October 9, a little later than the other Pixel 10 phones.
