Earlier this week at CES, the folks over at Fujifilm announced a vintage-style, Super 8-looking camera in the form of the Instax mini Evo Cinema camera. The Instax line is known for only capturing and printing photos, Polaroid-style. The company calls the Cinema camera, its first 3-in-1 Instax product, as it can capture both videos and photos or print stills.

The camera has an Eras Dial, which allows you to adjust various effects and filters based on your choice of ten eras (henceforth, the name). You can choose from the 1930s up to the 2020s, so the 1940s offers vivid colors with three-color film, the 80s offers a 35mm color negative look, and the 2010s shows off a style of editing on a smartphone. The filters from the Eras can also be adjusted to your personal liking, as each effect has 10 adjustable levels.

Now, the Evo Cinema can shoot a video and convert a still image from the footage into a photo print. However, it employs a less intuitive method than other Instax cameras, which involves converting the data into a QR code to achieve this. The interesting part is that the video captured can also be shared via QR code. And did we mention that it also doubles as a smartphone printer? Yeah, it can do that too.

The Instax Evo Cinema also offers a camera bag, grip, and viewfinder attachments as additional accessories to pick up. It doesn’t have pricing just yet, and is set to arrive on January 30, but only in Japan at the current time.
