Sounds like Apple will soon bring bright color options beyond the iMac. Remember Apple’s budget MacBooks, slated for this year to compete with Chromebooks? Outside of the iMacs and select iPads, it will be the company’s first laptop to offer colors beyond black, white, and various shades of aluminum.

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is currently testing light yellow, light green, blue, and pink color options for its upcoming entry-level laptops. This would be in addition to its staple color choices of classic silver and dark gray. However, not all six colors will make the cut for choices at launch.

Previous reports have the forthcoming MacBook priced between $700 and $800, with a 13-inch display, and powered by the iPhone 16 Pro Max’s A18 Pro chip. Apple will reportedly maintain its premium aluminum shells (possibly from its MacBook Airs) but will offer scaled-down specs.

The official announcement is potentially happening sometime next month, as it would launch alongside the iPhone 17e. Alongside the usual tech announcements, it sounds like it’s going to be a busy year for Apple.
