The Osmo Pocket 3 is heavily considered the Internet’s favorite vlogging camera, according to the vast number of content creators and influencers who use it. Despite the numerous leaks surrounding it, DJI finally unveiled its newest Osmo Pocket 4 vlogging camera earlier this morning.

DJI retains its powerful f/2.0 1-inch sensor and 2-inch rotating display but adds noteworthy upgrades to its new camera gimbal. Such as the ability to record 4K video up to 240 fps slow-motion; improved low-light performance thanks to its 14 stops of dynamic range; up to 4x digital zoom thanks to its new physical Zoom button, upgraded 5D joystick, and 100GB of built-in storage in addition to microSD card support; an option to attach a fill light; and new color profiles and the option to record in 10-bit D-Log. Also new is a slightly larger battery, going from its predecessor’s 1,300 mAh to a 1,545 mAh cell, which can fast charge from 0% to 80% in under 20 minutes.

If you have a Pocket 3, these upgrades may not be enough to make you upgrade. However, I would keep an eye out for the rumored Pro version of the Pocket 4, which has been spotted via leaks with a dual camera setup—potentially adding a telephoto zoom option. Unfortunately for interested US buyers, you’re going to have to wait because DJI’s application for authorized sales is still pending. For everyone else, you can grab it starting at £429/€479, and it ships in the atypical standard and creator combo options, which add more accessories to your new Pocket 4.
