A few weeks back, we shared a new Fitbit wearable being teased by Steph Curry, which is shaping up to be a screen-less band and essentially Google and Fitbit’s take on the Whoop fitness band. The folks over at Droid Life have been on the hunt for more intel on the device and may have found it.
They spotted Curry wearing the device at Sotheby’s for a charity auction (video shown above) and behind-the-scenes during All-Star Weekend (video shown below). The upcoming fitness band appears to be made from the same polyester and nylon material as Google’s Pixel Watch 4’s Performance Loop Band in the Peony color.
Also in the BTS video, we get a glimpse of the potential software for the wearable, which resembles the fitness-tracking UI on the Pixel Watch. It shows live data, current battery life, activity mode, and your cardio load, heart rate, energy burned, and workout time.
It is unclear whether Google and Fitbit will wait until I/O or closer to the Pixel 11 launch for an official announcement. Would you be interested in a device like this that appears to be even thinner than what Whoop currently offers?
