Last November, Valve announced several new products set to arrive sometime this year. Unfortunately, the wait was a bit longer than anticipated due to memory shortages that are plaguing the electronics industry.

One of the products is their Steam Controller, which one would believe it was only for the company’s Steam Machine gaming console. However, that is not the case. Yesterday, Valve announced the pricing and availability for its forthcoming gaming controller. Luckily, the wait to purchase one won’t be much longer, as it goes on sale on May 4 at 1PM ET for $99.

The controller offers a similar layout to other gaming setups, albeit with its larger size, but Valve utilizes two large trackpads and rear triggers. And as the headline suggests, you won’t need the Steam Machine to use the Steam Controller. It works with any computer running Steam and can also serve as a phone controller for mobile gaming.
