And lastly, the console games showcase is from Xbox. The company has a lot to prove with a new CEO and an internal mandate with a focus on Xbox as a gaming console with exclusive titles. For starters, the company dropped a green, transparent Xbox Series X console and controller in honor of the 25th anniversary of the console.
Xbox’s initial step for exclusives brings forth Clockwork Revolution and Gears of War: E-Day prequel; the latter was originally slated to arrive on the PS5 as well, but Xbox has since backtracked. There’s the arrival of Halo: Campaign Evolved later this year, the return of Spyro The Dragon, a first look at DMZ for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4, a reboot of the classic Crazy Taxi: World Tour, and more.
Not sure if any of this can revitalize the excitement behind Xbox as a console and a company. Keep in mind, the new company will need time to make noteworthy changes, especially with the rumors of a new console coming sooner rather than later.
